Hey folks!
My friend Fredrik really wanted this cool custom cast of a Warrior Prime and to push him over the edge and actually buy it ($45) I promised to paint it up. The Russian guy who makes them is really talented and it was a joy to assemble. Almost non-existent flash and good joints. Anyway, here is the result from a few different angles. I am still struggling with the photography (much too saturated and not sharp enough) but at least it's not iPhone pics.
So that's it - a really good sculpt as I said. Support this guy and go buy some of his stuff! :)

All her children
So the basecoats are done on the regular termagaunts. I'll sleep some on the highlighting; right now I'm thinking drybrushing is the way to go.

Tyranid speedpainting training
Back again on my good pal's nids. This time it's an effort to get lots of grey plastic up to tabletop level. A good chance for me to practice speed and "good enough".
The method is currently:
Prime white
Wash in sepia
Drybrush bone
Basecoat shields
Basecoat claws and hoofs
Highlight
Paint bases (maybe)
I'm down to about 8 minutes total per termagaunt at the moment, but those are probably the least detailed models...
Fun!

Cuddly Tyrant
I did some work on a Hive Tyrant I borrowed from a friend, just because I thought it would be fun and a learning experience. It was both! Perhaps you will see more Tyranids on this blog in the future. Perhaps.
I am especially pleased with the contrasts and the poison sac which turned out delightfully revolting.
